Eliza Rathbone was one of John Rathbone's many daughters. She married Doctor Charles Wetmore in 1814 and came to Ohio to settle and raise a family. She and her husband settled on 262 acres on the northern edge of Clinton Township. They called their estate Locust Grove. Eliza passed away in 1853 at the age of 61.
One of the Wetmore children was named Prosper. His extensive book collection was donated to the metropolitan library system. In fact, the Prosper Wetmore bookplate continues to appear in books held in the Ohio State University library.
